To make a Captain’s Grog, combine all ingredients, except mint, with 12 ounces crushed ice into a mixing tin. Whip shake briefly and pour into a chilled tiki mug or double old- fashioned glass. Top with more crushed ice. Garnish with mint, umbrella, and reusable straw.

For this drink from the Death & Company bars, I used one of my absolute favorite rums, St. Lucia’s Chairman’s Reserve Forgotten Casks aged rum. It’s a great sipper and mixer.

Method
Combine all ingredients in shaker.
Add ice to tin and shake for 15 seconds until well diluted.
Double-strain into a chilled coupe glass.
Carefully hold peel over drink, ignite lighter and express oils through flame.
