Out in the San Diego area in late February for the annual IAB Annual Leadership Meeting, I took the family along to enjoy what we thought would be some warm west coast weather. That weather was unseasonably cold, but that didn’t deter us from hitting two of the high points for the family-friendly set, Legoland USA and the San Diego Zoo. Legoland was a huge hit with the boys, as you might imagine, and despite living two blocks from one of the better zoos around at home, we were blown away by the scale of San Diego. Awesome!
A few weeks back, we decided to take the boys out on a Sunday afternoon and enjoy the day. Sam was very excited to see the pregnant elephant, and we were surprised to see a new baby warthog – ugly but cute – and spent quite a bit of time ‘playing the trees’ at the new interactive art installation in the Park. Please take a look at our photos here.
I think this photo of Sam is super-cute and wanted to share it here.
For your daily cute fix, here is Mei Lan, the newest addition to the Zoo Atlanta family of Pandas. Sam and I headed over there last weekend for some quality time, and stood in line to patiendly wait our turn for 15 minutes of watching the mom and daughter sleep. The little one did roll over at one point, hence this photo. I hope to get more opportunities in the coming months.
