Sam and I spent a good part of the day Sunday hanging out at the Zoo while Amy was playing a gig. We had an absolute blast – check out the slideshow here.

First 2007 Trip to the Zoo
It was a beautiful day (as you can see by the blue skies above), and after yesterday’s drenching rain, we were eager to get some fresh air. And I wanted to fool around with the new camera. So off we headed to Zoo Atlanta. Mei Lan isn’t yet on exhibit (soon, we hear), but Sam enjoyed the flamingos, rhinos, elephants, tigers, orangutans, gorillas, chimps and the like. A quick trip to the zoo
Spring fever has taken hold. We headed out to ZooAtlanta last weekend to enjoy the lovely weather and to try and catch a glimpse of the new lion cubs. They were not on exhibit, but the brood of new Asian Otters were most entertaining. Gallery is here.

Another day at the Zoo
It was a mild morning this Sunday, so we trooped off to Zoo Atlanta for a bit of exercise. Of course, the tele lens and camera were in tow. Apparently due to some rain this morning, the place was nearly deserted. We were literally alone with the docent in the Panda exhibit. One was asleep, but the other was splayed out eating some of the thirty pounds of bamboo she scarfs on a daily basis. Sam really enjoyed the up close look.
