As soon as it came, it seems it was gone. The winds blew the last of our March snowstorm out of town just before sunset, illuminated the icy rail of our back deck.
We went down to Savannah in mid-January to see my younger brother Seth who’d come down from Boston. I have more photos from that trip to post (which I’ll get here soon), but I particularly loved this shot of two young boys marching down Broughton Street during the MLK Jr. Day parade. It was all about Obama, I can tell you that.
As you probably know, the photography genes run through 2/3 of the Trotz boys – my brother Jerry is a fine photographer, and currently makes his living shooting in Savannah. On our visit in mid-November, he dragged out his spiffy new lights and got down to some great photos of our clan. I think a bunch of these are awesome. There is something about a formal portrait that’s so different from the grabs we normally get. I like a lot of the feeling here.
