A quick post of our little guy, catching a few last winks before Dad had to wake him to go to school this morning. He didn’t nap yesterday, and for the first time in forever fell asleep in my arms while I was telling him stories last night. I knew when he began snoring! He also woke up around 4am asking to hear one of his favorite songs – Thanks A Lot, by Raffi. Yeah, I know that music gets on some people’s nerves, but that particular song is in his bedtime iPod mix, and I always found it calming as can be. In this photo, he clutches his favorite blankie, made for him by our dear friend Alisa. For the past several months, that’s the only thing he’ll allow in the crib with him when he does down to sleep. Precious!

i [heart] springtime
If only Atlanta weather could stay like this all year ’round! The weekend has been so beautiful. Mild, almost crisp mornings, not too hot in the afternoons. Amy says it’s like Aspen in the Summertime. Of course, we’ll be seeing the 90s here soon enough. These photos summarize what this time of year is all about – Sam working in the garden, Dad marinating some flank steak and grilling it up along with super-fresh asparagus and squash, and just-planted tomato plants in all their fuzzy glory beginning to bloom. 65 days and counting till we have some fresh goodies for our salads. Yum!
another day at the zoo
We got a late start to the day (Sam chilled in his crib for well over an hour after waking up) and decided to stick close to home. So Amy, Sam and I headed to ZooAtlanta. Some of the photos can be seen here below, or see the slideshow on Flickr here.
aQuantive acQuired (by M$FT)
To add further fuel to the fire of M&A around the online marketing business, Microsoft announced today that they were acquiring aQuantive, a wide ranging company whose divisions include ad networks (Drive PM), agency-focused adserving (Atlas) publisher focused adserving (Accipiter) and one of the largest ad agency/design practices around, AvenueA/Razorfish. Price Tag? DOUBLE what Google paid for DoubleClick, at a premium of $0.85 per share on Thursday’s closing price. Woah Nelly!
